Mechanism of Electrostatic Precipitator

<Soot and ash>

High-efficiency electrostatic precipitator removes soot and ash.

Mechanism of Exhaust Gas Denitrizer

<Nitrogen oxides>

Nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas are separated into harmless nitrogen and water using ammonia and a catalyzer.

Mechanism of Exhaust Gas Desulfurizer

<Sulfur oxides>

Exhaust gas desulfurizer removes sulfur oxides from the exhaust gas.

Mechanism of Deep Sea Intake / Discharge

  • Cold water is taken in from the deep sea-bed area in order to minimize the influence of thermal discharge after cooling the steam.
  • The mouth of the discharge outlet opens in a fan shape in order to minimize the influence of thermal discharge.

We have also implemented the following environmental measures

To Prevent Air Pollution

  • We burn coal using a low air volume and reduced temperature in order to minimize the production of nitrogen oxides.

To Prevent Water Pollution

  • We use a comprehensive waste water treatment facility to collect and purify the waste water used at stations for washing equipment ,etc.
    This water is only discharged after purification.

To Prevent Noise Generation

  • We use low-noise equipment and facilities.
  • We install noise suppressors and soundproofing equipment.
  • We create facility designs that place machines and equipment likely to produce noise, inside soundproof chambers or buildings.

To Monitor our Environment

  • We continuously monitor the emissions from the stacks and general atmospheric conditions around the power stations.
  • We keep constant track of noise levels, vibration intensity, waste water discharge etc.
  • We develop environmental monitoring systems in cooperation with the local community and regularly submit the monitoring report to municipal authorities.
